EXCERPT ON Her Death Laid The Foundation
Jenny Mae Hightower
The main part of this story is about a young lady, Jenny Mae Hightower who was born to Bill Seth and Mary Beth Saxon-Hightower about one year after they were married. The many things that she experienced in her earlier childhood years as well as her teenage years helped to mold her for the special work in the field of medicine and in society in general that she was to become involved in later in her adult life. Also, the role that she was placed into after her mother’s death of helping to take care of her three sisters was a ‘training ground’ that she needed to know how to help young people who had special needs. She was truly a remarkable lady in many ways.
Not only did Jenny Mae Hightower take on that tremendous responsibility at an early age of taking care of five young people which included three sisters and two boys that were adopted; but the role that she was placed into inadvertently laid the foundation for her future in becoming a surgeon, a pioneer in doing research in the field of medicine, and the great woman in society to help thousands of people all over the world. Without the role that she was placed in starting at age fifteen, the door for her to do these great things to help others in life may have never been opened. That role gave her the confidence that she needed in herself as well as let her know how to step out into performing the task of the great future ahead of her.
More Responsibility Later, due to other circumstances beyond Jenny Mae’s control, she assumed the responsibility of helping care for two more siblings …which were added to the family. Who they were and how they came into the family will be evident when the story is read.
Personalities, Power Struggles, and the Uniqueness of the Individual In addition to the tremendous story in this book about Jenny Mae Turner, a great young lady, scenes and scenarios that deal with personalities, power struggles, and basic everyday problems and experiences between members of families in general have been interjected at strategic points throughout the story … especially at the beginning. The story has been written in a format to encompass some of those experiences that are encountered by individuals in their daily lives. It is hoped that those who experience similar circumstances as the characters seen here will be able to apply the same or equivalent solutions to their problems as the characters in the story have done.
Jenny Mae’s Three Sisters Over the next few years of Bill and Mary Beth’s marriage, three more girls were born into the family. Shortly after the fourth girl turned ten, Mary Beth Saxon- Hightower and the four girls were in a serious car wreck. The girls survived; but Mary Beth did not. Mary Beth’s death placed Jenny Mae into the position at age fourteen of taking on the big responsible role of taking care of her three younger sisters. Bill Seth Hightower, Jenny Mae’s father, could not take on this role because he had to be away from home two weeks at a time to work on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. His work schedule required him to be on the job two weeks and then off two weeks. Therefore, since he was at home for only two weeks of each four week period, he could not take care of the girls as he needed to on a continuous basis.
EXCERPT ON She Continued Their 'Romantic Way Of Love' In Her Life
The first part of this story depicts the tremendous love that a very romantic couple, Casey Dean Jade and his wife, Melissa Delanor Jade, had for each other. It also depicts how they were able to express to the fullest extent the power of this love that existed between them. As this story of Casey and Melissa’s ‘Powerful Romantic Way Of Love’ continues, it shows the manifestation of this same love in their only daughter, Phoebe. When Phoebe met the ‘Man of her dreams,’ she was able to give him the same tremendous love that her parents had for each other. This is a very powerful and mature type of romantic story.
EXCERPT ON Dr. Chemical Change And The War-Woman, Xarella
Shelby Myrah Vaneri lived in ‘The Knorm Regime.’ Her mother was a normal human being and her father was leader of the mysterious Knorms. Shelby made the decision at age 32 to move to the United States. There she met an older man, married him, and had Colby. During his childhood Colby visited his grandmother, Jameca, in Newlen. While there, he met a beautiful young lady and falls-in-love with her. Her name was Xarella Anna Dylum. Xarella’s father would not let her go back to the United States with Colby. Will Colby ever see her again? Later, due to problems in his life, Colby moves to Elaya where his grandmother grew up. Problems in that country caused him to join an army and become a leader. One day, his soldiers capture a woman leader in the opposing army. He and the woman’s conversation led up to him thinking that this may be Xarella that he knew many years ago; but, how could it be. She was in another country. His thoughts continued as he asked himself if this was the same girl, now a beautiful woman, whom he met years earlier in Newlen. This is a very powerful story which involves both Colby and Xarella, and it reaches a very powerful climax. The following is one of many exciting scenes: Colby is going to be executed when he is captured at one point by soldiers in the opposing army. A woman leader uses a special weapon on him to render him helpless in the use of his super-powers. He is chained to a wall. Four soldiers aim their rifles at Colby. He does not know of anyone who can help him. The soldiers begin pulling the triggers of their guns. Within split seconds the guns are fired. See the mystery of what happens to Colby within split seconds of the rifles firing. He does not disappear or regain his super-powers, and the soldiers are not harmed in any way. Does he escape within those split seconds? As usual, I am going to say: To be continued. Your imagination may be challenged as you read this book.
EXCERPT ON The Larry V. Johnson Story
This book contains all three books ‘U-Turns’ Are Allowed; Will He Ever Learn?; and He Wandered Unnecessarily In The Foothills Of Life that have been published on my life story.
My younger years were very difficult for me. I did not do well in my academic studies. I did not have confidence in myself to do anything, and lack of self esteem was exhibited in everything that I tried to do. In this book you will see how that, with God’s help, I turned things completely around. But, after He helped me start a new life, I made the mistake of ‘taking my life in my own hands’ and doing what I wanted to. This caused me to make many wrong choices in every area of my life. However, even after all of the mistakes and heartaches, I still enjoyed, and I am still enjoying, my life to the fullest. I have acquired five college degrees and started writing books in my senior years.
